Prison Ministry

OUR VISION
To reach out to the incarcerated, their families, as well as the victims and their families - Matthew 11:36 – I was in prison you came to visit me, Matthew 25:40 – Whatever you did for one you did for the least of these)

To share the Word of God, to this people group, so some may here the call of Christ and come - (Mark 16:15 Go ye into all the world, John 10:16 – My sheep hear My voice and follow)

To empower those individuals who are lead by the Holy Spirit to join this mission, by equipping and encouraging them as they attempt to impact the lives that are the focus of this ministry - Romans 12:6-8 We have different gifts... use them in proportion your faith)

We believe to do these things, through Christ we can impact the transitioning of the incarcerated and their families to freedom and normalcy, as well as bringing healing and closure to the victims and there love ones - (Luke 4:18 – preach deliverance to the captives, Luke 10:33 – who do you think became a neighbor to the man attacked? “The one who treated him kindly, said the religious scholar” “Go and do the same”.)

TESTIMONIALS

In Our Absence

“I wish there had been programs like this one during my incarceration…. I lost my family.”(Ex-Offender)

“I remember as a child during the Christmas holidays, being told my father was away working… later to find out, he was in jail.” (SBCC Member)

In Our Presence

“In the broad arena of Christian ministry, I believe God designed me to minister to the incarcerated…..”(SBPFM Volunteer)

A volunteer returned after 5 years, and was told by inmates, “they had been waiting for his return”. This reminds us we are not forgotten when we leave, and that inmates are left with a thirst for further ministry. (PFM Volunteer)
