Servant Leader Responsibilities

SERVANT LEADER
RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Attend monthly S.A.L.T. meetings (see monthly calendars).

2. Develop measurable goals for the ministry that fulfill the SBCC mission/vision statements.

3. Create practical and innovative strategies to meet the ministry goals.

4. Meet regularly with ministry team to assess progress and problems.

5. Create a written description of the ministry and how it operates, and a job description for everyone on the team.

6. Identify and disciple future leaders for the ministry.

7. Identify training needs and resources for leadership.

8. Continue to develop spiritual gifts and leadership skills.

9. Assess the congregation's needs as they relate to the ministry.

10. Evaluate the effectiveness of the ministry.

11. Build relations with other servant leaders to avoid tunnel vision.

12. Submit annual goals and accomplishments when requested.

13. Leave areas used for meetings clean, organized and ready for use by the next ministry.

14. Provide an appropriate funeral and bury a ministry when it is no longer viable.

 

"Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as
men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a
burden, for that would be of no advantage to you."
