You will be asked to agree to and sign the SBCC membership Covenant. It includes the following:

1. It will be your responsibility to protect the unity of the body of Christ at SBCC.

• By acting in love towards other members
• By refusing to gossip
• By following & submitting to the leaders
•    (Romans 14:19, 1 Peter 1:22, Eph. 4:29,
•    Heb. 13:17, Matt. 5:24, 18:15-17, Gal. 6:1)

2. It will be your responsibility to share responsibilities at SBCC.

• By praying for its growth
• By inviting friends to attend
• By warmly welcoming those who visit
•    (1 Thess. 1:1-2, Luke 14:23, Rom. 15:7)

3. It will be your responsibility to serve in ministry at SBCC.

• By discovering your gifts and talents
• By being equipped by elders to serve
• By developing a servant's heart.
•    (1 Peter 4:10, Eph. 4:11-12, Phil. 2:3-4,7)

4. It will be your responsibility to support the testimony of SBCC.

• By supporting the SBCC Vision, Mission, Values, and Goals
• By attending faithfully
• By living a Godly life
• By giving regularly
•    (Heb. 10:25, Phil. 1:27, 1 Cor. 16:2, Lev. 27:30)
